Favorite Boots + Booties

{Snob is a strong word, I prefer connoisseur!}

When the temps dip below 70 here in Texas boots and booties are fair game. I save my “moon boots” for when I’m lounging but these are my all time favorites when I need something extra. You can always dress down or super casual and throw on some boots to look put together. 99.% of the time that is my secret weapon. Ya welcome.

Being a shoe-aholic doesn’t leave a lot of room for spurges. I’ve grabbed my share of Uggs, Tory Burch and Sorel boots but I couldn’t justify the prices and not be extremely comfortable. I haven’t totally given up on Sorel yet, but I don’t think I need the snow boots in TX. SAD FACE.

Anyways, here are my current favorites. I’m always down (Tyler isn’t) to try out some new boots so send your suggestions my way. 🙂

Rain Boots: These are one of my above $100 pick. Totally worth the investment. We have rain way more than snow so they get a ton of use here. Also, when it’s cold I am a huge fan of their boot socks. Done and done. I am leaning toward red or hunter green ones next. No such thing as too many boots. These go on sale so don’t jump the gun before looking at other sites!

Riding Boots: I am a huge fan of Tory Burch everything but I was a little let down with the riding boots. I was so uncomfortable! Maybe it’s because I am always on my feet chasing someone around. WHO KNOWS. Anyways, I am a huge fan of these that I found at DSW (watch for sales!). Don’t forget about DSW, you can score some major deals there. These aren’t leather or faux but a little bit of a suede (but also not) finish. They also look a little more on the western side but I think that’s always a classic way to go rather than the “prep school horse gal” look… which I also love. Side note: these are so comfortable and forgiving. Not your average stiff shaft riding boots.

Over The Knee: I love these! This particular brand has different heel heights available if you are looking for something a little more dramatic but oh my gosh. So easy to throw on over some jeans and look put together. WITHOUT breaking your neck. Everyone looks good in these.

Open Toe Booties: It’s warm here more often that cold so these are my most worn pair of booties. I haven’t been able to find these exact pair but some similar from the same brand. These are the ultimate in dressing up EVERY outfit.

Wedge Booties: I am a huge fan of wedges. I pretty much have sworn off actual pumps/heels in place for wedges during all seasons. They give you a little more stability when chasing tiny humans. Yea, unfortunately (but fortunately) my wardbrobe revolves around being a mom and being realistic. If I’m not comfortable or fussing with clothes/shoes my anxiety goes through the ROOF. Wedges are everything. I found mine at Buckle but Amazon has ALL the wedge booties.

Block Heel Booties: Last but not least the look without sacrificing comfort. {Comfort is my favorite} Old Navy and Target have been my go to for some really basic black/brown/cognac or suede block heeled booties. I, personally, have created some cool styles while keeping shoes basic. The block heels have way more stability since I am always on my feet!
